Subject Specialist Tutor

Location: Liverpool

Pay: Β£30 per hour (salary is dependent on experience and/or qualifications)

Start Date: September 2025

Contract Type: Full or Part Time, after school, long-term

Vision For Education are working with a local authority team to appoint subject specialist tutors who are passionate about providing high-quality, subject-specific education on an hourly basis in a 1:1 setting after school. Sessions may be online or face-to-face therefore the ideal candidate will be flexible in their approach and willing to adapt. This is a part-time opportunity, but hours can be increased to full time for the right candidate.

Subjects include:

Requirements

The desired Subject Specialist Tutor will have:

– A teaching qualification (PGCE, B.Ed, TESOL, CertEd etc.)

– A subject specialism (Maths, English or Science)

– Experience of working with KS3 and KS4 pupils, and those pupils with SEND

– A passion for the progress of secondary school pupils

– An ability to commit to regular tutoring sessions each week

– Excellent communication skills

– An ability to complete weekly reports of student s engagement and attendance
