The Role and School
Are you an enthusiastic, bubbly and engaging individual ready for a new Teaching Assistant role in a mainstream setting within the Salford area? The role is to cover within Key Stage 2, Year 5 class until the end of the academic year July 27. The class size is around 21 children and has the support of a Class Teacher and another TA in class.
Key Responsibilities:
- Help create a positive and comfortable environment for the class, whilst also monitoring classroom management and assisting with behaviour support.
- Be proactive in your approach building relationships from day 1.
- Be able to adapt and adjust various activities and experiences in school for the class.
- Support a class within the school, showing respect and care for each student in the class whilst also showing a good level of tolerance.
Requirements:
- Hold experience with children, young people or residential care background.
- Have previous experience working within KS1 and KS2 classes.
- Have strong team-working and communication skills to work efficiently and effectively with a wider team.
