The School and Role
A Local Council EHC Team are looking for a LAC Home Tutor who can teach Maths & English to students based in residenital homes or foster care placements who are unable to attend education. As part of the role, the desired LAC Home Tutor will:
- Work 1:1 with students to re-engage them with education,
- Plan and delivering engaging lessons in core subejcts (Maths & English),
- Support students during the transition to new school placements,
- Liaise with schools, social workers and other professionals to provide regular updates on student progress
The LAC Home Tutor role is based in the Stockport area and is long term to provide consistency for students. Sessions can be one – five hours per day (during or after school hours) depending on the student’s needs.
