This is a highly rewarding, hands-on role where your dedication and skills will directly impact pupils' growth, confidence, and well-being. You'll work alongside a passionate, experienced team in modern, purpose-built facilities based in Wigan, that provide the ideal environment for SEN professionals to grow and make a positive impact on the lives of children with SEND. This is a term-time only role with strong potential to become permanent following a successful qualifying period, alongside access to ongoing training and professional development. This role is ideal for candidates seeking meaningful SEN experience and long-term opportunities within special education.
Requirements:
- Have previous experience supporting children or young people or vulnerable adults
- Have a genuine passion for supporting pupils with SEN, including Autism, learning disabilities, sensory impairments or complex needs
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills with pupils, staff and families
- Show emotional resilience and adaptability, remaining patient and positive in a fast-paced, sometimes challenging environment
- Be reliable, proactive and committed to making a positive impact in a specialist education setting.
