Vision for Education is working in partnership with welcoming and inclusive schools across North Somerset to recruit dedicated Behaviour Mentors. This is an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact by supporting pupils' behaviour, engagement, and wellbeing in a structured and supportive learning environment, while gaining valuable experience within the classroom.

We are looking for committed Behaviour Mentors who can work closely with teachers to support learning and behaviour with both mainstream and SEN students of all ages, helping with engagement and confidence throughout the school day.

The Ideal Behaviour Mentor Will Have:

  • Experience working with children or young people (desirable)
  • A patient, positive and reliable approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Confidence supporting behaviour and learning needs
  • A commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
  • Relevant qualifications (desirable)

Key Responsibilities of a Behaviour Mentor:

  • Supporting pupils in lessons, both 1:1 and in small groups
  • Assisting the teacher with lesson preparation and classroom organisation
  • Providing targeted support for pupils with additional needs, including SEND
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting inclusion
  • Supporting pupils' emotional wellbeing and development
  • Assisting with breaktime supervision and school activities

Pay & Hours: £14.24 p/h. Monday - Friday 08:30am - 15:30pm, term time only.
