Vision for Education is looking to recruit enthusiastic and reliable Teaching Assistants to work in schools across North Tyneside and surrounding areas. We have a range of opportunities available, including day-to-day, short-term and long-term roles, with the potential for permanent opportunities.

As a Teaching Assistant, you'll work alongside class teachers to support pupils with their learning and development. Depending on the role, you may work with pupils on a 1:1 basis, in small groups or as part of the wider classroom, helping them to engage with learning and make progress.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Supporting pupils across the curriculum
  • Helping to create a positive learning environment
  • Providing additional support where required
  • Encouraging pupils to develop their confidence and independence

You'll work as part of a supportive school team and have the opportunity to gain valuable experience across a range of educational settings.

Requirements

To be considered for a Teaching Assistant role, you will need:

  • Experience working with children or young people
  • A positive and enthusiastic approach
  • A genuine passion for supporting pupils with their learning and development
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to build positive relationships with pupils
  • Flexibility and the ability to adapt to different classroom environments
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • A DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
  • Previous school-based experience is desirable; however, we also welcome applications from candidates with relevant experience in childcare, care, youth work, sports coaching or other support-based roles.
