- The Programme
- Vision for Education will provide the successful Unqualified SEN Teaching Assistant with high-quality training and paid on-the-job experience, working alongside our client schools.
- Following a successful interview and safeguarding/identity checks, we will secure a paid placement in a school to develop your skills, with ongoing support from a dedicated consultant.
- Prior to starting your placement, you will complete a training programme delivered by Vision for Education and school leaders to give you the essential skills to work as an Unqualified SEN Teaching Assistant.
The Role
- The role is vital in the day-to-day running of schools; successful Teaching Assistants have excellent communication skills and can build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
- Work with the class teacher to manage behaviour, support interventions, and provide additional support to children with SEND.
- Assist the class teacher with recording and reporting on pupil progress and behaviour and help ensure that children are making good progress in the classroom.
