  • The Programme
  • Vision for Education will provide the successful Unqualified SEN Teaching Assistant with high-quality training and paid on-the-job experience, working alongside our client schools.
  • Following a successful interview and safeguarding/identity checks, we will secure a paid placement in a school to develop your skills, with ongoing support from a dedicated consultant.
  • Prior to starting your placement, you will complete a training programme delivered by Vision for Education and school leaders to give you the essential skills to work as an Unqualified SEN Teaching Assistant.

The Role

  • The role is vital in the day-to-day running of schools; successful Teaching Assistants have excellent communication skills and can build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
  • Work with the class teacher to manage behaviour, support interventions, and provide additional support to children with SEND.
  • Assist the class teacher with recording and reporting on pupil progress and behaviour and help ensure that children are making good progress in the classroom.

  • Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. To be considered for the National Teaching Assistant Programme you will:

  • Be willing to pay for an enhanced DBS check and register with the Update Service.
  • Drive or be willing to use public transport.

What we Offer

  • Excellent daily rates paid using the PAYE system. (Daily rate is subject to your scale rate, experience in role and qualifications which will be discussed at the point of registration).
