Teaching Assistant (SEND) West Drayton West London £500-£510 per week (depending on experience/qualifications). Start date: September 2026
Hours: 08:45- 16:00. Monday to Friday
We are seeking a caring, resilient and enthusiastic Secondary Teaching Assistant to join a large specialist provision in West Drayton (UB7). The school supports children with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), with a strong focus on helping pupils manage their social, emotional and behavioural needs alongside their academic development.
The post involves working alongside their Key Stage 2/3 pupils. Energy, physical ability and enthusiasm to work with these pupils are required. Induction and training including Signalong and Team Teach, will be given for this rewarding job, which offers the chance to progress. The school has received a good OFSTED report for the quality of the teaching.
Requirements
The desired SEN Teaching Assistnat will:
- Have a caring, supportive and nurturing personality
- Be available to start immediately and full time
- DBS on the update service
- 2 references
- Have experience of working with those who are non-verbal, pre verbal.
- Have relevant experience of working with children, young people or vulnerable adults within a education setting
- Be someone who is patient, caring and adaptable to each young person you will support

- Experience supporting children with SEMH and/or SEND (desirable but not essential)
