The role
As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll work alongside teachers and other school staff to support pupils’ learning, confidence and development. Your responsibilities may include:
- Supporting pupils with classroom activities and learning tasks.
- Providing one-to-one and small-group support where needed.
- Helping children develop confidence, independence and positive learning habits.
- Encouraging engagement and participation in lessons.
- Supporting positive behaviour and creating an inclusive classroom environment.
- Adapting your approach to meet pupils’ individual learning needs.
- Following school policies and safeguarding procedures.
What we’re looking for
- A patient, caring and positive approach.
- A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A reliable, flexible and proactive attitude.
- Experience working with children in a school, nursery, childcare or similar setting is desirable.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting children’s welfare.
