Vision for Education are currently recruiting for a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Benfleet from September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with children and wants to make a positive difference to their learning, confidence, and development. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and wider school team to support pupils both academically and personally.
The Role
- Support the class teacher with the delivery of engaging lessons and activities.
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils.
- Support children with SEND and additional learning needs.
- Help pupils develop their confidence, independence, and learning skills.
- Support children's academic, social, emotional, and personal development.
- Assist with classroom management and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Encourage pupils to participate fully in classroom activities.
- Work closely with teachers and support staff to meet individual needs.
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all children.
SEND Experience
Previous experience supporting children with SEND is desirable. The successful candidate should be comfortable working with pupils who may require additional support with their learning, communication, behaviour, or emotional development. Experience supporting children with autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, speech and language needs, or social and emotional needs would be beneficial. The ability to remain patient, calm, encouraging, and adaptable is important when helping pupils overcome barriers to learning.
