Vision for Education is currently recruiting for a talented and enthusiastic Drama Teacher to join a Good-rated secondary school in Tamworth from September 2026 . This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a supportive and welcoming department committed to delivering engaging and high-quality performing arts education.

About the Role

As a Drama Teacher, you will deliver inspiring and creative Drama lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5 depending on experience. You will encourage students to develop their performance, communication, and collaborative skills through a broad and engaging curriculum.

The successful candidate will join a school that values creativity and provides students with opportunities to participate in performances, productions, and extracurricular activities. This role is suitable for experienced teachers as well as enthusiastic Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to begin their teaching career in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality Drama lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 experience is desirable but not essential).
  • Inspire students to develop their creativity, confidence, and performance skills.
  • Plan and deliver lessons that cater to a range of abilities and learning needs.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment.
  • Assess, monitor, and support student progress.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the department, including school productions and extracurricular activities where appropriate.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (essential).
  • Experience teaching Drama within UK secondary schools.
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A creative and enthusiastic approach to teaching.
  • Ability to motivate and engage students of all abilities.
  • A genuine passion for Drama and performing arts.
