Vision for Education are seeking a compassionate, proactive, and engaging Youth Worker to join a dedicated team within a Primary & Secondary School setting supporting children with Autism and complex learning needs.
As a Youth Worker you will play a key role in building trusted relationships, promoting positive well-being, and supporting pupils to overcome barriers to learning and personal development.
About the role
- The Youth Worker will be supporting young people with Special educational needs in small groups and on a 1:1 basis.
- Following the guidance of the teacher but knowing the students well enough to deal with any conflicts.
- Build strong, supportive relationships with children and young people, offering consistent guidance and encouragement.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff, parents, and external professionals to provide tailored support.
- Plan and deliver structured activities and informal sessions to promote social, emotional, and personal development.
- Support pupils in managing behaviour, developing confidence, and building resilience.
- Actively contribute to the inclusive and nurturing ethos of the school community.

- Able to obtain suitable references and a valid DBS check.
