This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate GCSE RE Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Stockport on a full-time, temporary cover starting September 2026/ASAP. You’ll be teaching Religious Education across KS3 and KS4 (Years 7-11), delivering engaging, creative lessons that inspire confidence and performance skills. The school has well-motivated students, strong leadership support, and a clear commitment to professional development. You’ll be joining a dedicated and collaborative department, with access to good facilities, specialist resources, and free onsite parking.

Requirements:

  • Hold QTS or a PGCE (UK-recognised teaching qualification)
  • Have recent experience teaching GCSE Religious Education (Years 10 and 11) ECTs considered
  • Be available full-time
  • Demonstrate strong classroom management and the ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities
  • Have excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Be able to provide suitable references, a valid Enhanced DBS (or be willing to apply), and Right to Work in the UK
