Early Years Practitioners & Teaching Assistants - Stafford
£14.24 to £16.15 an hour · Term time · Paid weekly
Stafford schools opened their Reception and Nursery classes this week, and several of them are still short of a pair of hands.
I will be honest with you. I get asked for Stafford early years staff more often than I have got Stafford people to send. That is exactly why this advert is here.
If you live local and you know early years, you are not going onto a list of two hundred names. You go straight in front of the schools asking right now.
What you get
-
£14.24 to £16.15 an hour - around £92.56 to £110 a day

Term time and school hours. Home for the school run, off in the holidays
-
Schools in Stafford, Stone and the villages around them - ST15 to ST18. A short drive, not a trek to Birmingham
-
Day-to-day cover, or a long-term September placement in Reception or Nursery if you would rather settle in one school
-
Free training through the Edwin Group if you fancy working towards your Level 4 or 5
Who I am after
Level 3 in Early Years or Childcare is ideal. It counts towards ratio, so it opens up the most work and the best rates.
If you are Level 2, still studying, or you have got years in a nursery and no certificate, apply anyway. I book early years assistants and general TA work across these schools every week.
Experience in EYFS counts whether it came from a school, nursery or pre-school.
You will need a DBS on the Update Service, or to be happy getting one, and I will sort that with you.
Worth knowing before you have to ask
If you go long term at a school, after 12 weeks you move onto their own pay scale. That is the law rather than a favour, and I will tell you exactly what it means for your money instead of hoping you never bring it up.
Straight with you
You will not be sent anywhere without being told exactly what you are walking into.
You will not be left waiting on a call that never comes.
And I am not going to promise you five days and give you one.
One person looking after you, who knows these schools and picks the phone up at seven in the morning when something changes.
Vision for Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All appointments are subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references. We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all sections of the community.
