SEND Tutor (Full or Part Time) — £22 - £46 per hour (salary depends on experience and/or qualifications). Start: ASAP.
The School and Role
Vision for Education are recruiting SEND Tutors across the North East of England to support SEND pupils in various education and home settings to help them achieve their full potential. The SEND Tutor will work 1:1 with students with special educational needs and disabilities. Sessions can vary from one to five hours per day. You will work towards breaking down barriers to pupil access to education. Knowledge of a variety of subjects including English and Maths is desirable.
Responsibilities
The desired SEND Tutor will:
- Work 1:1 with pupils with SEND
- Support sessions ranging from 1 to 5 hours per day
- Help pupils access their education by breaking down barriers
- Bring knowledge of English and Maths where possible
Requirements
The desired SEND Tutor will have:
- A teaching qualification
- Experience of working with students with EHCPs
- An ability to plan and deliver Maths and English sessions
- A passion for making a difference to the lives of young people
