Key Responsibilities:
Classroom Leadership:
- Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the regular teacher.
- Manage the classroom effectively, ensuring students remain engaged and focused on their learning.
Student Support:
- Encourage and support students with a range of Special Educational Needs.
- Promote a positive, inclusive learning environment where every student can succeed.
Behaviour Management:
- Use positive behaviour management strategies to maintain a safe and productive classroom.
- Respond confidently and professionally to a variety of classroom situations.
Policy Adherence:
- Follow school policies, safeguarding procedures, and health and safety guidelines at all times.
- Ensure a structured and supportive environment for all students.
Effective Communication:
- Work closely with teaching staff and school leaders, providing clear feedback on lessons and student progress.
- Build positive relationships with staff, students, and the wider school community.

About you:
To be considered for theCover Supervisor role, you will:
- Have previous experience working with children and young people with a range of special educational needs, such as learning difficulties, autism and looked after children.
- Suitable qualifications such as Youth Work, Health and Social Care or Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools are desired but not essential.
- Have strong communications skills with the ability to quickly build rapport with students
- Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.
