Are you a recent university graduate looking to gain valuable classroom experience before pursuing a career in teaching? Vision for Education is recruiting enthusiastic and confident University Graduates to train as Cover Supervisors and work across a range of secondary schools in Telford and the surrounding areas. No previous classroom experience is required - we provide comprehensive in-house training at our Lichfield office to equip you with the skills and confidence to succeed.
About the role
As a Graduate Cover Supervisor, you will supervise whole classes during teacher absences, delivering pre-set work across a range of subjects to students in Key Stages 3 and 4. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates considering a career in education, teaching, or youth work. You'll gain invaluable classroom experience while enjoying flexible work that fits around your schedule. Following successful completion of our in-house Cover Supervisor training, you will be ready to work in a variety of secondary schools across Telford.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver pre-prepared lessons across a range of secondary subjects
- Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
- Ensure students remain engaged and complete the work set
- Build positive relationships with students and school staff
- Adapt confidently to different school environments
- Provide feedback to teaching staff following lessons
- Follow safeguarding policies and school procedures at all times
