About the role
As a Geography Teacher, you will deliver engaging and challenging Geography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students develop their knowledge and understanding of the physical and human world, geographical skills, critical thinking, and awareness of global issues. You will have the opportunity to work within a variety of supportive secondary schools, delivering high-quality lessons while maintaining high expectations for behaviour, progress, and achievement. This role is ideal for experienced Geography Teachers and Early Career Teachers looking to gain experience across different school settings or secure a long-term position.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Geography lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Teach Geography across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 experience is desirable but not essential)
- Inspire students through the study of physical and human geography, geographical skills, fieldwork, and current global issues
- Differentiating lessons to meet the needs of all learners
- Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Assess, monitor, and provide feedback on student progress
- Adapt teaching strategies to support students of varying abilities
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and school leaders
- Follow safeguarding, behaviour, and school policies at all times

Requirements
To be considered for this role, you will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Have experience teaching Geography within UK secondary schools

- Be enthusiastic, adaptable, and committed to achieving positive outcomes for young people
