Salary & Hours

  • Salary: £25,989-£28,142 FTE (actual term-time salary £22,879-£24,814).
  • Hours: Monday, Tuesday & Thursday: 8:30am-4:00pm; Wednesday: 8:30am-4:30pm; Friday: 8:30am-3:30pm.
  • Part-time applications are welcome (minimum of three full days per week).

About the Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you'll work alongside experienced teachers and pastoral staff to provide tailored support for students with additional learning needs. You'll help create an inclusive learning environment where every student feels supported, engaged and able to succeed. This is a varied and rewarding role that includes classroom support, one-to-one intervention, small group work, supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), promoting positive behaviour, assisting with learning activities and contributing to students' personal development.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supporting students on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
  • Working closely with teachers to deliver engaging learning activities.
  • Assisting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Encouraging confidence, independence and positive behaviour.
  • Helping students overcome barriers to learning.
  • Supporting literacy, numeracy and communication skills.
  • Building positive relationships with students, parents, carers and colleagues.
  • Supervising educational visits and enrichment activities.
  • Assisting with assessments, examinations and classroom administration.
  • Promoting safeguarding, wellbeing and inclusion at all times.
