SEN Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistants and Learning Support Assistants to support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN).
The role involves supporting pupils with:
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
- Cognition and Learning difficulties, ranging from moderate to profound needs
- Communication and Interaction needs, including autism and speech and language difficulties
The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils throughout the school day. Working both within and outside the classroom, you will provide tailored academic, social, and emotional support to help pupils access learning and achieve their full potential.
You will work closely with teachers and other professionals to ensure that each pupil's individual needs are understood and met, while helping to create a positive, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.

- Is proactive and able to respond effectively to individual pupil needs

Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with SEN
- Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development
- Encourage engagement and participation in learning activities
- Help implement individual support plans and strategies
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff and other professionals
- Promote a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
