Vision for Education is working in partnership with welcoming primary schools across the East Riding & North Yorkshire area and is looking to recruit School Catering Assistants with Administrative Responsibilities.

The roles from September 2026 can be flexible, medium/long term assignments and even offer Permanent opportunities.
The Role
You will be responsible for supporting the daily operation of the school's catering service. Duties will include:
- Heating and serving frozen school meals.
- Ensuring food is prepared and served safely in line with food hygiene standards.
- Placing food orders and managing stock levels.
- Maintaining accurate records and completing associated administrative tasks.
- Keeping the kitchen clean, organised and compliant with health and safety regulations.
- Providing a friendly and efficient service to pupils and staff.
- The Ideal Candidate
To be considered for this role, you will
- Hold a
- Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate
(courses can be provided).
- Have previous experience working in a catering, school kitchen or similar environment.
- Be confident using IT systems to place orders and manage stock.
- Be organised, reliable and able to work independently.
- Have excellent communication skills and enjoy working within a school setting.
