Vision for Education is seeking to appoint a Classroom Cover Supervisor to join our successful supply teaching team and work in local secondary schools across the Blackpool area starting immediately.
Role Overview
The Classroom Cover Supervisor will work within a school environment, supervising pupils across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4). The role involves providing flexible support to cover short‑term staff absences and delivering pre‑planned lessons. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in teaching or working within a school.
Responsibilities
- Supervising pupils across KS3 and KS4 during short‑term absences.
- Delivering pre‑planned lessons and ensuring smooth classroom operations.
- Applying behaviour management techniques to create a positive learning environment.
- Adapting to ad‑hoc, short‑term or long‑term arrangements as required.
Qualifications
- A passion for working with children.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- Experience of working with young people (e.g., coaching, youth work, support work, voluntary work).
- Ideally a degree, though this is not essential.
- Previous work with children in any role (youth worker, sports coach, support worker, voluntary etc.).
