Vision for Education is seeking an outreach worker for a PRU (Pupil Referral Unit) in Redditch. This is a vital role in supporting students who have been excluded or cannot attend mainstream schools due to behavioural, emotional, or medical needs. The role is both challenging and rewarding, requiring resilience, adaptability, and a strong understanding of behaviour management. This role is offered on a full-time basis Monday‑Friday.

Responsibilities

  • Support students who have been excluded or cannot attend mainstream schools due to behavioural, emotional, or medical needs.
  • Ensure students remain on task and engage with their learning.
  • Maintain a calm, respectful learning environment.
  • Apply behaviour management strategies consistently and fairly.
  • Support students' social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.
  • Participate in staff briefings and contribute to behaviour support plans.
