Position: RE Teacher

Smart Teachers are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and committed RE Teacher to join a successful secondary school in North London. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate Religious Education specialist looking to join a supportive department and make a positive impact on students' learning and development.

The successful candidate will be joining a school community with a strong ethos, where values, respect, and personal development are central to school life. The school is seeking an engaging teacher who can inspire students through thought-provoking RE lessons and encourage them to explore faith, philosophy, ethics, and the wider world.

The Role:

  • Teaching Religious Education across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons that challenge and inspire students
  • Supporting students to develop critical thinking, reflection, and understanding of different beliefs and perspectives
  • Monitoring student progress and providing effective feedback
  • Working collaboratively within the Humanities/RE department
  • Contributing positively to the wider life of the school

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Strong subject knowledge in Religious Education
  • Experience teaching RE within a secondary school setting
  • Ability to engage and motivate students of all abilities
  • Excellent classroom management skills
  • A committed, professional, and reflective approach to teaching
