This Teacher of Music role is based at a well-regarded secondary school in Preston, Lancashire, offering the opportunity to join a supportive and ambitious team. The school's most recent Ofsted inspection in February 2023 judged the school to be Outstanding in all areas, including quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, and leadership and management.
The successful Teacher of Music will be confident delivering engaging Music lessons across the secondary age range, inspiring pupils and contributing positively to the wider school community.
The role
- Teacher of Music position based in Preston, Lancashire.
- Immediate start.
- Temporary, long-term role with no set end date.
- Deliver engaging and challenging Music lessons.
- Plan and prepare high-quality lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
- Support positive behaviour and maintain high expectations.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Music department and wider school.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching Music within a UK secondary school.
- Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Music.
- Ability to engage, motivate and inspire pupils.
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- References and relevant compliance checks will be required.
