Vision for Education are recruiting experienced sports coaches to transition into the role of PE Cover Supervisor in secondary schools. As a PE Cover Supervisor, you will be covering PE during periods of Teacher absence in secondary schools in Pocklington & Beverley.
About the role:
- Location: Pocklington secondary school
- Salary: £500 - £600 per week (dependent on experience and/or qualifications)
- Start date: September 2026
This role is ideal for confident, organised individuals with a background in sport, coaching, or youth work who are looking to gain classroom experience. As a Cover Supervisor, you will lead classes during the short-term absence of the teacher, delivering pre-set lesson plans across a range of subjects, including practical-based lessons where appropriate. You'll play a key role in maintaining a positive learning environment by managing behaviour, engaging students, completing registers, and providing feedback to teaching staff. Opportunities are available for day-to-day supply, longer-term placements, and potential permanent roles.

Requirements (Please Apply Only If You Meet the Below):
- Have recent experience in sports coaching, PE, youth work, or education
- Be confident working with secondary-aged students
- Hold GCSEs at Grade 4/C or above in English and Maths
- Have strong communication and behaviour management skills
- Be reliable, adaptable, and keen to work in a school environment
- A degree (or working towards one) is desirable but not essential
- Be able to provide suitable references, hold (or be willing to apply for) an Enhanced DBS, and have the Right to Work in the UK
