About the role
The successful candidate will deliver engaging and high-quality science lessons across Key Stages 3 to 5. You will be responsible for maintaining excellent standards of teaching and learning, supporting pupil progress, and contributing to a positive and inclusive learning environment.
You will also provide calm, consistent support to pupils with autism and other complex needs, helping to create a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment.

- Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Mark and assess student work, providing clear feedback to support progress
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management
- Model respectful, inclusive behaviour and contribute to a classroom culture where every student feels valued, heard, and respected
About the school
A supportive school for students aged 11‑19 who are currently unable to access mainstream education due to challenging behaviour, ASC, or other complex needs. The school creates safe and nurturing environments for students with special educational needs, valuing diversity and supporting young people to thrive. Requirements
- Hold a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- A valid DBS certificate on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Vision for Education is committed to safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults. All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service
Salary
£150 to £170 per day (salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications). The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Hold a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
