Are you a passionate PE Teacher looking to make a lasting difference in the lives of children and young people with additional needs?
We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed teacher to join a specialist school this September, where you\'ll have the opportunity to inspire pupils through engaging physical education while supporting their academic, social and emotional development.
Working within a supportive and nurturing environment, you will deliver high-quality PE lessons to pupils across Key Stages 2 to 4, adapting learning to meet a range of individual needs including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD and other Special Educational Needs (SEN).
This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about inclusive education and believes every child can achieve success.
You will
- Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality PE lessons across KS2 to KS4.
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of pupils with ASC, ADHD and a range of additional learning needs.
- Create a safe, structured and inclusive classroom environment.
- Assess, monitor and record pupil progress, providing constructive feedback and targeted support.
- Promote positive behaviour and encourage pupils\' personal development alongside academic achievement.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and external agencies to achieve the best outcomes for pupils.
- Contribute to curriculum development and the wider life of the school.
- Participate in extracurricular activities and ongoing professional development.
- Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm.
Requirements
The successful PE Teacher will have
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching PE across Key Stages 2 to 4.
- Experience supporting children and young people with ASC and other SEN.
- A strong understanding of the National Curriculum and inclusive teaching strategies.
- Excellent classroom management and behaviour support skills.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to continuous professional development.
- Resilience, flexibility and a positive, child-centred approach.
- A SEND qualification (desirable).
