Mathematics Teacher to join a highly supportive specialist education setting on a three-day-per-week maternity cover basis

The Role

  • Teach Mathematics across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the ability to adapt lessons to meet individual learning needs.
  • Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that support students working at a range of abilities and stages of education.
  • Assess, monitor and record student progress, ensuring continuity of learning during periods of medical treatment.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching colleagues, healthcare professionals and pastoral staff to provide holistic support.
  • Create a positive and encouraging learning environment that promotes confidence, resilience and achievement.
  • Contribute to the wider educational provision and uphold the highest standards of teaching and safeguarding.

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Has experience teaching Mathematics within a secondary school setting.
  • Demonstrates excellent subject knowledge and strong classroom practice.
  • Is able to adapt teaching to meet the diverse academic, emotional and medical needs of students.
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
