SEND Teaching Assistant (Part-time, Temporary)

The School and Role
A Primary School situated in Newcastle Upon Tyne are looking to appoint a part-time Teaching Assistant to join their established team. The successful candidate will offer 1:1 support to a child in Year 5, helping them to access the curriculum and advance academically. Prior knowledge of the upper KS2 curriculum is essential for this role. The working hours will be 08:30-12:30, Monday – Friday, with potential to turn permanent for the right candidate.
Requirements
The desired Teaching Assistant will have:
- Experience of working in KS2.
- Experience of supporting children with SEND.
- An ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A calm and approachable manner.
