Classroom Cover Supervisor - Nelson
Vision for Education is seeking to appoint a Classroom Cover Supervisor to join our successful supply teaching team and work in a school in Nelson, supporting pupils across the secondary age range.

The successful Cover Supervisor will work within a secondary school environment, supervising pupils across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4) and providing flexible support to cover short-term staff absence.
You will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons, ensuring pupils remain engaged and on task while their usual teacher is unavailable. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to gain valuable classroom experience and develop their career within education.
This role offers flexibility and can be ad-hoc, short-term or ongoing, depending on your availability and the needs of the school.
You do not need to hold a teaching qualification, but you must be able to demonstrate that you have previously worked with children or young people in some capacity, such as a youth worker, sports coach, support worker, teaching assistant, volunteer or similar role.
Training can also be provided to help develop your classroom and behaviour management techniques.

The school is based in Nelson and provides education for secondary-aged pupils. The school is looking for a confident and reliable Cover Supervisor who can support pupils effectively and maintain a positive learning environment when regular teaching staff are absent.
Requirements
To be considered for the role of Classroom Cover Supervisor, you will:
- Have a passion for working with children and young people.
- Have good classroom management skills.
- Have experience of working with young people in some capacity, for example through coaching, youth work, support work or volunteering.
- Be confident supervising pupils and managing behaviour in a classroom environment.
- Be reliable, adaptable and able to use your own initiative.
- Ideally hold a degree, although this is not essential.
- Be interested in developing a career within education.
