We are recruiting on behalf of a primary school seeking a committed and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026. This role is focused on supporting students with additional needs. You will play a key role in helping students access their learning, build confidence, and develop positive relationships within a supportive school environment. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about inclusive education and making a meaningful difference in the lives of young people.
Responsibilities
- Support students both in and out of the classroom, helping them to feel safe, supported and motivated.
- Deliver small group interventions during lesson time, typically working with groups of around four students to support targeted development in maths, English and phonics.
- Provide targeted support for students.
- Support students in lessons to access the curriculum and remain engaged.
- Build positive, trusting relationships with students to promote wellbeing.
- Assist with behaviour management strategies and emotional regulation.
- Monitor and report on student progress and development.
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
- Promote safeguarding, attendance, and student wellbeing.
