Vision for Education is currently recruiting an enthusiastic Secondary Cover Supervisor to join a supportive secondary school in the Lydney area. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and motivated individual who enjoys working with young people and wants to play an important role in maintaining a positive learning environment.
As a Secondary Cover Supervisor, you will take responsibility for supervising classes when teachers are unavailable, ensuring students remain engaged with their work and continue to make progress. You will deliver pre-planned lessons, support pupils with their tasks, manage classroom behaviour and provide feedback to teaching staff. You will become a valued member of the school community, working alongside experienced teachers and support staff to ensure lessons run smoothly throughout the day.
This role would suit an experienced Cover Supervisor, teaching assistant, youth worker, graduate or someone with strong experience working with secondary-aged pupils.
Requirements (Please Apply Only If You Meet the Below)
- Have experience working with young people in an educational, youth work or mentoring environment
- Be confident managing classrooms and maintaining expectations
- Have excellent communication and organisational skills
- Be able to build positive relationships with students
- Be comfortable delivering pre-set lesson materials
- Hold, or be willing to obtain, an Enhanced DBS
- Have the Right to Work in the UK
