HR Assistant / PA to Headteacher - ASAP Start
Location: Ealing, West London
Pay: Grade 6 (pro rata)
Hours: 17.5 hours per week, 8:00am-12:00pm, Monday to Friday
Contract: Term time only

We are looking for a HR Assistant / PA to the Headteacher to join a supportive and welcoming Alternative Provision in Ealing.
This is a varied role, combining HR administration, PA support and general school administration. You will work closely with the Headteacher and Operations Manager, helping to keep HR processes running smoothly and supporting the day-to-day running of the school office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and confidential staff records, including contracts, DBS and absence records
- Support recruitment, including preparing adverts, managing applications, arranging interviews and onboarding
- Process staff starters, leavers and contract changes
- Assist with payroll administration and liaise with payroll providers when needed
- Maintain the Single Central Record (SCR) and staff training records
- Support staff communications and general HR administration
- Manage the Headteacher's diary and provide day-to-day PA support
- Maintain staff supervision records and ensure these are completed on time
- Respond to telephone enquiries and direct queries to the appropriate member of staff
- Provide general administrative support within the school office
About You:
- Previous experience in HR, administration, PA work or a similar role
- Experience working in an educational setting is desirable but not essential
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Able to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook
- Experience with HR systems or databases would be beneficial, although training can be provided
