About the Role
As an RE Teacher, you will deliver engaging and high-quality Religious Education lessons, either in the absence of the regular teacher or as part of a longer-term placement. You will encourage students to think critically, develop their understanding of different religions and worldviews, and engage in respectful discussions while maintaining high standards of behaviour and learning.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality RE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially KS5).
- Develop students' understanding of different religions, beliefs and worldviews.
- Encourage critical thinking, respectful discussion and independent learning.
- Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners.
- Maintain a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Manage behaviour in line with school policies.
- Assess and monitor student progress where required.
- Provide feedback to teaching staff and departments.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, ideally with experience teaching RE.
- Experience teaching Religious Education in UK secondary schools.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to deliver engaging and inclusive lessons.
- Flexibility and adaptability across different school environments.
- A genuine passion for RE and student development.
