Level 3 Nursery Nurse / Early Years Practitioner - Stoke-on-Trent

£14.24 to £16.15 an hour · Paid every Friday · You pick your own days

Have a look at what you are on an hour at the minute. Then look at that again.

And no key children. No learning journeys. No observations to write up at home on a Sunday night.

You do the bit of the job you actually trained for - being with the children - and you leave the rest of it at the door when you go home.

If you are a Level 3 nursery nurse or early years practitioner with a current paediatric first aid certificate, you are the person every manager in this city is short of. You count in ratio the moment you walk in and nobody has to think twice about it.

That is why this advert is for the qualified end, and paid like it.

I have nursery work on every week across Stoke, between 20 and 40 days of it. Day nurseries, pre-schools and school nursery units, Tunstall down to Longton and most places in between.

What you get

  • £14.24 to £16.15 an hour. Level 3 with paediatric first aid sits at the top of that
  • Paid every Friday. Not monthly, not in arrears, not "the 25th". Every Friday
  • You pick your days and your hours. One day a week, three, or full time. No split shifts you did not agree to, and no eight till six because somebody else rang in
  • No key children, no observations, no learning journeys, no parents' evenings
  • Settings close to home across ST1 to ST6. You are not getting sent halfway across the county
  • Day to day, the same regular days at the same setting, or a longer placement if you would rather stay put
  • Free training, paid for. Including your Level 4 or 5 if you want to go further

What you need

  • Level 3 in Early Years or Childcare. Not negotiable on this one. It is what lets a setting count you in their ratio
  • A current paediatric first aid certificate. Lapsed? Never done it? Say so when you apply. It is a one-day course and we will sort it. I am not losing a good nursery nurse over a certificate we can fix in a week
  • A DBS on the update service, or to be happy getting one. I will sort that with you

Straight with you

You will not be sent anywhere without being told exactly what you are walking into. You will not be left waiting on a call that never comes. And I am not going to promise you five days and give it one.

One person looking after you, who knows these nurseries and picks the phone up at seven in the morning when something changes.
