The Nursery and Role:

Are you looking for a new challenge? Are you looking for progression? Are you passionate about working with children? Shape the future of young children as a Baby Room Lead in Lancing. You will oversee the care and development of babies ages 0-2 years of age, ensuring their safety, happiness and overall well-being. As well as being and Early Years Educator to a group of children, you will lead and direct others within the baby room to ensure that the highest standards of care and safety are always met and that children's development is optimised. Whether that is a child, parent or staff member! This Nursery Assistant position offers professional development opportunities and room for career growth. This Nursery is an amazing setting with various equipment, resources as well as a lovely outdoor space!

As part of a maintained nursery school you will be part of a high quality programme with CPD on INSET days, professional development opportunities and particularly in terms of working with children in SEND. This is a full time role, the hours are 37 hours per week, term time only.

All roles are term time only and will include attending a one hour for staff meetings on a Wednesday.They are looking to expand their team that is ran by hard working and dedicated management who foster a friendly and positive environment for the children and the staff. Please Note

This Nursery is not currently recruiting for unqualified nursery assistants, you must hold a Level 3 in Childcare or above to be eligible for this role.

Requirements:

The ideal Nursery Assistant will have;

  • Level 3 in Early Years Childcare or equivalent (Essential)
  • Implement a secure routine to ensure a calm, organised atmosphere in the baby room, where babies' needs are met
  • Lead and inspire a small team of childcare practitioners in delivering high-quality and education
  • Be proactive in researching and suggesting changes and improvements to systems and processes to ensure the best possible provision
  • Build strong relationships with children and their families, providing regular updates on children's progress and development
