The School and Role

On behalf of the Connect Multi-Academy Trust, based in the County Durham area, Vision for Education is recruiting a SEND Teaching Assistant to work on a full-time basis from September 2026. The KS2 SEND Teaching Assistant appointed for the role will be working in Year 4/5 to provide 1:1 support to a pupil with additional needs. The school would ideally be looking for someone with experience of supporting SEND pupils. This is a 'Good' school, where pupils enjoy coming to school and feel supported in their learning.

Requirements

The desired Primary Teaching Assistant will have;

  • Experience of working with primary school aged children
  • Experience of working with pupils with SEND
  • A passion for the progress of primary school pupils
  • An ability to work as part of a team
