A welcoming prep school in Kingston is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 4 Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis, starting as soon as possible and continuing until the end of the academic year.
About the role
As the Year 4 Teacher, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day teaching and learning within the class, ensuring pupils receive a broad, engaging and appropriately challenging curriculum. You will be expected to plan effectively, assess pupil progress and adapt your teaching to meet the needs of individual learners.
The role would suit a teacher who is passionate about working with primary-aged pupils and who can combine high expectations with a warm and encouraging approach. Key Responsibilities
- Take full responsibility for the teaching and learning of a Year 4 class.
- Plan and deliver creative, engaging and challenging lessons across the curriculum.
- Establish a positive classroom environment built around high expectations and mutual respect.
- Differentiate teaching to support pupils with a range of abilities and learning needs.
- Regularly assess, monitor and record pupil progress.
- Provide constructive feedback to help pupils understand and improve their learning.
- Develop positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the teaching team.
- Contribute to school events, activities and the wider school community.
- Support the school's ethos and maintain high standards of behaviour, presentation and achievement.

Requirements
To be considered for the role of Primary Teacher you will:
- QTS - essential.
- Previous experience teaching in a primary school.
- Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum, ideally with Year 4 experience.
- Excellent classroom management and organisation skills.
- High expectations of pupil achievement and behaviour.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
