The role

  • Supporting pupils with SEND and additional learning needs.
  • Working alongside teachers, Teaching Assistants, and pastoral teams.
  • Supporting classroom activities, interventions, and pupil engagement.
  • Building positive relationships with pupils to encourage confidence, independence, and progress.
  • Developing practical skills through classroom experience, mentoring, and CPD opportunities.

Requirements

  • A genuine passion for supporting children and young people.
  • A patient, caring, and resilient approach.
  • A willingness to learn and develop through the Trainee Teaching Assistant Programme.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils.
  • Previous experience working with children, young people, or in a support role is desirable but not essential.
