This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate GCSE English Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Tameside on a full-time, temporary cover starting September 2026/ASAP. You'll be teaching English across KS3 and KS4 (Years 7-11), delivering engaging, creative lessons that inspire confidence and performance skills. The school has well-motivated students, strong leadership support, and a clear commitment to professional development. English is valued within the curriculum, with opportunities to contribute to extracurricular activities. Requirements
- Hold QTS or a PGCE (UK-recognised teaching qualification)
- Have recent experience teaching GCSE English (Years 10 and 11) ECTs considered
- Be available full-time
- Demonstrate strong classroom management and the ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities
- Have excellent communication and organisational skills
- Be able to provide suitable references, a valid Enhanced DBS (or be willing to apply), and Right to Work in the UK
