Vision for Education are looking for Teaching Assistants to work in Primary Schools in Huntingdon and surrounding villages, supporting a variety of year groups both generally and on a one-to-one basis.
Schools regularly contact us for teaching assistant support. Roles are typically on a 1-to-1 or small group basis with children who require additional support. Positions can arise with short notice due to new starters or long-term staff absence. We are seeking people with a confident approach to building relationships with children, particularly those with SEND. A calm and empathetic approach is important, with the understanding that behaviour is a means of communication. A working knowledge of the Cambridge Therapeutic Approach would be beneficial.
The schools we work with are friendly and supportive with solid staff induction procedures.
Requirements
- Have some experience or work in a school or similar setting in the last 3 years (minimum 6 months)
- Hold a TA Qualification (desirable but not essential)
- Have some experience of working with children with SEND
- Have a genuine passion for working in education
- Hold a full enhanced DBS clearance
- Be able to provide two recent references to support your work with children
Please note, this is a full-time role and access to a car is essential.

Salary
£89 to £100 per day. Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications.
