Vision for Education is looking for compassionate and reliable individuals to join our SEN Teaching Assistant supply team, supporting specialist primary and secondary schools across Hereford from October 2026.
As a leading education recruitment agency, we provide staff to SEND schools on a day-to-day basis. You'll initially join our supply register, offering flexible work around your availability, with regular opportunities to move into long-term, part-time or full-time school placements.
The Role
You'll support children and young people aged 2-19 with a range of additional needs, including:
- Autism (ASC)
- Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
- Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
- Complex physical and sensory needs
- Complex communication and learning needs
Your responsibilities may include:
- Supporting pupils 1:1 or in small groups
- Encouraging learning, communication and independence
- Supporting sensory activities and emotional wellbeing
- Assisting with personal care, feeding and mobility where required
- Working closely with teachers and other professionals
Who We're Looking For
We welcome applicants with 2+ years' experience in roles such as:
- Support Worker
- Care or Healthcare Assistant
- Residential Support Worker
- Autism or Learning Disability Support Worker
- Youth, Family or Behaviour Support Worker
- SEN, Nursery Practitioner or Teaching Assistant
- Or any similar care, support or education role
You'll be compassionate, reliable, patient and passionate about helping children and young people with additional needs reach their potential.
