School-Based Support Workers are required to support learners with severe learning difficulties, autism and complex needs within a specialist SEND school in Hereford. The school is a specialist SEND school supporting learners aged 11-18 with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and complex medical needs. The academy provides a highly personalised curriculum designed to develop communication, independence and life skills, helping learners prepare for adulthood.

The school is looking to appoint compassionate and proactive School-Based Support Workers to work across a range of departments supporting pupils with varying levels of need. Working alongside teachers, therapists and experienced support staff, you will help learners access a sensory and engagement-based curriculum, develop communication skills and achieve their individual learning goals.

The role includes supporting personal care, mobility and therapy programmes where required, making it particularly suited to candidates with experience in care, residential settings, healthcare or support work. Requirements
