SEN Early Years Teaching Assistant
Location: Northwick Park, Harrow
Pay: £500-510 per week (salary depending on experience and/or qualifications)
Contract: Full time, Temp to Perm
Start date: September 2026
Overview
A specialist primary school, located short walk from Northwick Park station, is looking for an Early Years teaching assistant to support children with diverse needs, including moderate to severe and complex learning needs, sensory processing difficulties, speech, language, and communication difficulties, and autistic spectrum disorders.
The TA works in a class of 8 pupils with mixed abilities and needs.
Not working 1:1 but happy to lead small groups when the teacher sets the work. Experience with ASD / ADHD would be ideal but an open‑minded and reliable individual preferred.
Self‑reported responsibilities: Supporting educational, social, and emotional development of pupils in class.
Requirements
- Must have a caring, supportive, and nurturing personality.
- Must be available to start immediately and work full time.
- Must hold DBS on the update service.
- Must provide two references.
- Must have experience working with non‑verbal or pre‑verbal children.
- Must have relevant experience in an education setting with children, young people, or vulnerable adults.
- Must be patient, caring, and adaptable to each pupil supported.
