About the Role
Vision for Education is seeking an experienced Primary Teacher with SENCO responsibilities to start in our partnered school from September 2026.
- Hours: 08:30-15:30 Monday–Friday.
- Planning and delivering engaging and effective lessons to students of primary age.
- Assessing pupils' attainment levels and supporting with behaviour management.
- Adhering to school policies while fostering a positive and supportive learning atmosphere.
- Identifying and assessing SEN needs across the school.
- Coordinating and supporting the school's SEN provisions.
- Supporting other teaching staff in supporting their pupils and meeting their needs.
- Working closely with parents and carers.
- Working with external professionals such as education psychologists, speech and language therapists, behavioural support teams and the local authority.
The role offers Teacher main pay scale with extra TLR pay in line with extra SENCo responsibilities.

A 1.5 form Primary school based in Sandwell with around 350 pupils. The school's key goals are to foster a well-rounded, supportive educational environment, providing opportunities for students to express their ideas creatively and constructively to help build their confidence. Teaching life skills, promoting empathy, social responsibility, and community involvement to develop students into caring, responsible citizens who contribute positively to society. They have a lovely school building, nestled in superb grounds which incorporate a large field, several woodland and wildlife areas, a trim trail and a pond. The Early Years and Foundation Stage classroom and outdoor areas have been extensively re-modelled and children learn in warm, bright and well-resourced surroundings.
About You
- Qualified Teacher Status with the ability to adapt teaching methods to suit pupils of all abilities, building strong rapport.
- Experience working with students who have additional needs, including Moderate Learning Difficulties, Severe Learning Difficulties, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties and Speech and Language Communication disorders, and ideally has SENCo experience.
- A strong understanding of how to engage with students within lessons and tailor learning to fit their individual needs.
- DBS Check, or readiness to undergo a DBS check.
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are a suitable teaching qualification.
