About the Role
Vision for Education is looking to appoint caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Learning Support Assistants to work across a range of welcoming and inclusive primary schools in Thurrock. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting children to reach their full potential. Whether you have previous experience working in education or transferable skills from a childcare, youth work or support background, we would love to hear from you.

The Role
- Support pupils in the classroom on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
- Work closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging learning activities.
- Provide additional support to pupils with a range of learning needs, including SEND where required.
- Encourage pupil confidence, independence and positive behaviour.
- Help create a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
- Assist with classroom preparation and learning resources.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
The Ideal Candidate
- Have experience working with children or young people, ideally within a primary school or educational setting.
- Be patient, compassionate and enthusiastic about supporting children’s learning.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be flexible, reliable and able to work as part of a team.
- Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one through Vision for Education.
- Relevant qualifications such as Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant are desirable but not essential.
