Vision for Education are recruiting enthusiastic, reliable and confident individuals to work as Cover Supervisors in secondary schools across York.
This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, sports coaches and individuals with experience working with young people who are looking to build a career in education.
You don't need a teaching qualification or previous experience as a Cover Supervisor. We are interested in people with strong communication skills, confidence, enthusiasm and the ability to manage groups of young people.
The Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will:
- Supervise secondary school classes during teacher absences.
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and ensure students remain on task.
- Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment.
- Manage classroom behaviour and encourage positive engagement.
- Support students with their learning and provide assistance where appropriate.
- Work across a variety of secondary schools in York.
