PE Teacher
Location: Near Goole
Salary: £31,650 - £49,084 per annum (MPS/UPS)
Contract Type: Full Time - Permanent
Start Date: After October Half Term 2026
Vision for Education are working in partnership with a successful and well-regarded secondary school near Goole to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic PE Teacher to join their team after October half term.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated teacher who is passionate about delivering engaging Physical Education lessons and inspiring students to develop their sporting ability, teamwork and confidence. Applications are welcomed from both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs).
The successful candidate will initially work through Vision for Education on a supply basis before transitioning onto a permanent contract directly with the school.
The Role
- Deliver high-quality Physical Education lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive and differentiated practical and theoretical lessons
- Inspire students to develop their sporting skills, fitness and understanding of healthy lifestyles
- Encourage teamwork, resilience, sportsmanship and positive participation
- Create a safe, positive and well-managed learning environment
- Assess, monitor and support student progress
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour, achievement and engagement
- Contribute to extracurricular sporting activities and the wider life of the school community
Requirements
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Have experience teaching PE within a secondary setting
- Be confident teaching Physical Education to KS3 and KS4 students
- Possess strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Demonstrate excellent communication and organisational abilities
- Be passionate about sport, physical activity and improving outcomes for young people
