The School and Role
Vision for Education is recruiting a SEND Teaching Assistant to work on a full-time basis at a Primary School in Gateshead (NE10) from November 2026 until April 2027. The SEND Teaching Assistant appointed for the position will be supporting a Year 1 child on a 1:1 basis. This will include in-class support, as well as directed interventions as required. Some training will be given by the school. This is a 'Good' Primary School, where staff are committed to supporting each child and using adaptive strategies to meet children's needs.
Requirements
- Experience of working with primary school aged children
- Experience of working with pupils with SEND
- A passion for the progress of primary school pupils
- An ability to work as part of a team
